Tassi was the "pink" puppy in her litter, and had something special right from the start. At just weeks old, she captured everyone's eye with her looks, and everyone's heart with her sparkling personality!
Tassi really was quite a girl. She was full of attitude! She liked to go for walks, rides in the car or to classes, and LOVED to be groomed- any activity was good for her, as long as it meant attention would be centered on her! She was always very willing in harness with a wonderful forward focus for the trail. She also enjoyed going over agility jumps, but in typical Tassi fashion, she thought agility was another opportunity for people to admire her, not to go where I asked! She LOVED her baby brother Coby.

A Group-placer and multiple Best of Breed winner out of the classes, she showed off with a sparkle in the show ring. By 4 years old, she had earned her Working Pack Dog title, her Working Weight Pull Dog title and her first titles in CPE agility. In VERY limited showing, she finished her AKC Championship, being always breeder-owner-handled. She then quickly went on to complete her AKC Grand Championship, including several 5-point major wins.
Tassi made the "cut" for Best of Breed at three National Specialties in a row! Once retired from the dog shows or competitions , she very much enjoyed life as a couch potato and bed hog. She loved people and interacting with the public at events, and did have fun showing off for a group to earn her Novice Trick Dog title. IN her later years she also took on the "little weird black dog", Chip, as her constant companion.
In 2015, Tassi was awarded the SAM: Serviceable Alaskan Malamute title, which is one of the AMCA's Versatility program certificates!
Tassi's name was derived from "Mtasoq"- which is a Mi'kmaq word for slate! ALSO: a "Stone Beauty" is sometimes used in card playing as slang for a Perfect Hand...
