April 2011 TASSI wins another Select award in Syracuse NY, where we also had another fun weekend with friends.
March 2011 TASSI is awarded 2 more 5-point major Select wins in Massachusetts to complete her AKC Grand Champion title! We also enjoyed the company of several of our friends, making it an overall nice time.
TASSI also played agility at a NADAC trial here near home, and had a good time at it. COBY was there soaking up attention from anyone willing to pet him!
January 2011 TASSI and RHYA celebrate the New Year at an IWPA weight pull, where TASSI pulls over 12 times her body weight both days to earn the 3rd and 4th legs she needed to complete her AMCA Working Weight Pull Dog title!
December 2010 In Cleveland, OH, TASSI gets Best of Opposite 1 day, and Select Bitch 2 days, adding a few more points toward that GCh.
November 2010 In Syracuse, NY, TASSI goes Best of Opposite for three days in a row, collecting another handful of points toward her GCh!
TASSI is invited to the Eukanuba Invitational as a Bred-By Champion! We are not attending, but it's still nice.
October 2010 First in October, we headed off to Michigan for the Great Lakes Alaskan Malamute Club Independant Specialty show (on a Friday), weight pull, and the following two days of Supported Entry shows. On Friday, TASSI earns her second leg toward her Working Weight Pull Dog title, pulling over 17 times her body weight! RHYA comes out of her summer off with a bang, pulling over 19 times her body weight, only 2 pulls shy of what she would need for a WWPDX leg! On Saturday, under respected judge Michelle Billings, TASSI wins SELECT for a 5-point major toward her AKC Grand Champion title!
Less than two weeks later, with TASSI barely hanging onto her coat, we made the trip down to New Jersey to support the NY/NJ Regional Specialty show. On Saturday for the Specialty, under breeder-judge Illona Chu, TASSI again is awarded SELECT for another major toward her AKC GCh! Now losing her coat rapidly, we'll take a short rest while she makes herself presentable again!
September 2010 At the Kennel Club of Niagara Falls dog show, TASSI goes WB/Best of Breed to complete her AKC Championship! Woo hoo! She was always shown exclusively in the Bred-By-Exhibitor class. The following day, TASSI again wins Best of Breed and her first point toward her AKC Grand Championship!
August 2010 Off to our first dog show since spring! TASSI is entered, and WOOHOO! Is awarded Best of Winners for her second MAJOR in Owego, NY!
July 2010 Another weekend of CPE agility for the pack! ASHLAR again Qs with 1st places in his 2 classes, completing his CSL1-S title. RHYA and TASSI each Qd in 3 of the 4 classes they were entered in: RHYA completed her CL2-S, so she is now done in Level 2 (replacing all the various Level 2 titles with just a CL2). TASSI completed a title also, her CL1-F!
June 2010 ASHLAR runs CPE agility, earning Qualfying scores and 1st places in both of his classes!

April 2010 In Syracuse, NY, TASSI shows one day; the supported-entry Saturday show, where she goes Reserve to a Major!
February 2010 Running each weekend in Winter Agility League through the heart of the winter, RHYA's team completes their season in second place, just missing first by 4 points!! TASSI's mostly-novice team finishes in 7th place, but gained LOTS of experience!
January 2010 Still running CPE through New Years' weekend, RHYA Qualifies in 8 out of 9 runs, completing two more CPE titles, CL2-H and CL2-F! She also is well started in Level 3 in several classes. ASHLAR came along and Qd in each of the two classes he competed in, also finishing another title, his CSL1-H! And Tassi managed to Q in her first Level 2 class- well done to the Granite Malamutes, what a GREAT and fun way to spend New Years'!!
December 2009 We attend a CPE agility trial, where on Thursday, Dec. 31, TASSI runs for Qualifying scores to complete her CPE Level 1 Standard title! (CL1-R)
October 2009 Off to Gettysburg, PA for our National Specialty!! Overall, TASSI places 3rd for the Regional and 4th for the National in her Bred By Exhibitor class. RHYA wins her Working Bitch class at the National. The pair of them together are the Best Brace for both shows...and RHYA Qs and places 4th in Novice FAST class in agility, and Qs and places 2nd in Open Jumpers with Weaves (Preferred), to finish her Open Jumpers Preferred title! Ashlar very much enjoyed showing in his Veteran 10-12 year old dog classes, too!
September 2009 In late September, TASSI wins WB/BOW/BOS for another point in Romulus, NY.
August 2009 In late August, TASSI gets another point, going WB/BOW in Albion, NY.
July 2009 In mid-July, we attend a CPE agility trial- TASSI's first ever! She enters just a few classes, for experience only, and delivers a surprising Qualifying Score with a 1st place in her class!! RHYA is entered in all four classes each day: she Qualifies and places in each of them, enjoying a "Perfect Weekend"! That's 8 Qs in a row!! WOW, what a good girl!!
June 2009 In mid-June, TASSI earns another point, going WB in Stockton, NY.
May 2009 And again the following weekend, RHYA and TASSI pack for an 11.1 mile hike, with an overnight campout in the forest to complete the requirements for their Working Pack Dog titles!
The next weekend, TASSI goes Winners Bitch and Best of Breed for another point toward her Championship, in Alexander, NY!
Early in May, RHYA and TASSI (and I) complete another 10.3 mile hike in the beautiful Winona State Forest...
April 2009 Off to Ohio for the Crossroads Alaskan Malamute Club supported-entry shows...on Saturday, TASSI wins Winners for a MAJOR! On Sunday, it is Rhya's turn: she goes Winners and Best of Winners, winning a MAJOR and FINISHING her CHAMPIONSHIP! We also had great fun at the dinner and fun match Saturday night- TASSI had a blast showing off her repertoire of tricks, hamming it up for the laughs!
Mid-April, RHYA went to an AKC agility trial: she earned a "Q" on Saturday & Sunday in Open Jumpers (Preferred), with a 1st and 2nd place!
We went to Harrisburg, PA on Easter weekend for 4 days of showing, including 2 days of Malamute Specialties and weight pull! RHYA and TASSI are in the ribbons almost each time they enter the ring! TASSI even wins the Bred-By class one day, while RHYA wins the Open class one day! RHYA goes Reserve Winners to the Major on Saturday! In the weight pull: on Friday, RHYA pulls 1100 pounds to take 4th place in her class, while TASSI wins the Novice class with a 700 pound pull! On Saturday, RHYA again pulls 1100 pounds..TASSI surprises me; she pulled "Pro" for the first time, pulling 1300 pounds with ease! She earned her first leg toward her Working Weight Pull Dog title by far, and never quit pulling- I withdrew her while her confidence was high!
January 2009 TASSI shows all three days in Hamburg, NY: She is awarded Winners on Friday, Reserve Winners on Saturday, and Winners/Best Opposite on Sunday!
August 2008 RHYA and TASSI earn their first Working Pack Dog legs, packing 30% of their body weight on an 11.4-mile hike in the Winona State Forest! Tassi in particular, seemed to enjoy herself from beginning to end, finishing the hike with as much energy as she started, and smiling at everyone the whole way!
In Ohio, Tassi wins another big BBE class: no points, but she showed well. Now she is blowing her coat, so she's going to take some time off while she grows a new one.
June 2008 At a show here in NY, TASSI wins Winners, Best of Winners, Best Bred-By-Exhibitor in Breed, Best of Breed...and goes on to win a WORKING GROUP 4 !!! AND a Bred-By-Exhibitor Group 2 !!! An amazing day....
April 2008 Here in town, we competed in an AKC agility trial- RHYA ran a CLEAN RUN to complete her Novice Agility Standard title with a 2nd place! That's my good girl..
At the Harrisburg PA shows, STONY Q's two days in a row in Rally Advanced, completing that title on his 11th birthday!! I keep trying to retire him, but he keeps proving he's just not ready to quit! TASSI won her Sweeps class on Saturday, and RHYA had some very nice placements in BIG Open classes. RHYA also won her division in the weight pull both days, the second day pulling over 23 times her body weight to earn a Working Weight Pull Dog Excellent leg!
March 2008 TASSI's daddy, STRYDER finished his Agility Excellent title in Pittsburgh, PA, running a perfect course 15 seconds under course time and WINNING the class!!! Whoooo!!! Congratulations, Stryder, from "your girls" here in NY!!
January 2008 In Hamburg, NY TASSI competes in another show, this time earning Winners Bitch! And her first point, at the tender age of 7-1/2 months old!! She also had a GREAT time being petted, hugged, and solicting belly rubs from DOZENS of people..so cute!
January 2008 The "girls", RHYA and TASSI, get harnessed together for the first time...I am stunned by the effort and power they threw into it! We've had very little chance to do harness work due to the ICE we've had in place of snow...
December 2007 Cleveland, OH: TASSI enters the show ring for the very first time, and gets RWB! (And more amazingly, she stood still!!) RHYA runs agility, earning her second leg toward her Novice Standard title, and getting an extra "Q" in Novice Jumpers!
October 2007 Off we went to the 2007 AMCA National Specialty in Wisconsin! We had a very busy week, and had a lot of fun: On Monday, RHYA pulled 800 lbs in the weight pull for her second leg toward that title! On Tuesday, she pulled 1000 pounds for a third leg in the afternoon. Late that evening, STONY and ASHLAR competed in their first attempt at Rally Advanced- Stony Q'd with a near-perfect score of 97 and FIRST PLACE, while Ash Q'd with a much-lower score, but still earned SECOND PLACE!! On Wednesday, all three dogs competed in agility- Stony and Ash both NQ'd by knocking down some jumps, but they did a great job anyway- RHYA remembered to hit her contact zones, and Q'd in Novice Standard with a Clean Run and FIRST PLACE! On Thursday, RHYA rounded out her week by pulling another 800 pounds in the weight pull to finish her WWPD title!! YAY to all three dogs, who did such a good job and made me so very proud of them!
August 2007 Finally, the dogs get to go back to agility! RHYA started classes again, and we entered a CPE agility trial at our training center- fun game classes, and a nice chance for the dogs to play their favorite sport without much stress. We're proud to report that RHYA earned Q's (qualifying scores) with top placements in Level 2 Jackpot and Colors, STONY had a Q with a clean run in Level 2 Jumpers, and ASHLAR Q'd both days in Level 1 Standard, earning him a CPE Specialist Level 1 Standard title!!
The very next weekend, we went back to Cato NY, to our favorite outdoor agility trial site for an AKC trial: ASHLAR didn't Q in Standard the three days he was entered, but he missed it by only 1 mistake each day, so I'm VERY proud of him! RHYA NQ'd in Standard the same way each day, but she made up for it by going 3-for-3 in Novice Jumpers (she's running full-height this year now that she's a "big" girl- she ran Preferred last year): She earned her Novice Agility Jumpers title with top placements and even a couple Clean Runs!! Good girl, Rhya!!!
May 2007 May 23, Rhya gave birth to 7 lovely puppies- 4 boys, 3 girls!
March 2007 We have to share- RHYA's very beautiful aunt, MAIYAH, owned and handled by Rhya's breeder and co-owner, Bonnie, traveled to England to compete at Crufts, one of the largest shows in the world- MAIYAH wins BEST BITCH- and the equivalent of Best Opposite, or Runner-Up Best of Breed!!! We are so very happy for our dear friend Bonnie, and proud to be "related"!!
February 2007 RHYA and STONY compete in their very first CPE agility trial, at the lovely Boom Towne Canine Center in Farmington, NY! RHYA runs 2 Standard classes, one FullHouse, and one Colors class- she Qualifies in all four, with 3 first places and 1 third!! STONY runs one Snooker class and one Jumpers class- he has two perfect Q's, and two first places!!! Best of all, we had a VERY good time!
January 2007 ASHLAR has joined his first Competition Obedience class! We are hoping to do some serious obedience work later in the year- so far, he was a good boy, but we definitely have work to do!
December 2006 ASHLAR has a grand time winning his very first-ever Veteran Sweeps class in Cleveland OH! He also adds yet another qualifying score in Rally Obedience to his accomplishments, even after a years' vacation from Rally- always my good boy...
September 2006 RHYA has fun mixing showing in the breed ring, with playing in the mud in VERY wet and slimy conditions in the agility rings at the Wine Country shows in Romulus, NY. She NQ's in all her agility rings- but she sure has fun! She also earns Reserve to a Major under breeder-judge, Wendy Willhauck! The day after, ASHLAR also earns Reserve to a Major! Two very nice wins, and I am proud of them both! Neither dog had been shown since May, and both performed like seasoned pros...
August 2006 STONY earns his third leg for his Novice Standard Preferred title, with another CLEAN RUN and second place! In the same class, RHYA earns HER third leg to also finish her NAP title, with a score of 95 and fourth place! Over the same weekend, she earns all three legs for her Novice Jumpers Preferred title, with 1 score of 95 (2nd place), and two CLEAN RUNS! (Which were also 2nd and FIRST place wins!!) Three titles in one weekend for the Granite Mals...WOW...
June 2006 STONY earns his first Novice Standard Preferred (agility) leg with a 2nd place, and his second Novice Jumpers Preferred leg with another CLEAN RUN, and 1st place! The following day, he earns his second Novice Standard leg,(another CLEAN RUN!) while RHYA earns her first one- they also get 1st and 2nd place! STONY then goes on to earn his third leg and title in Jumpers, with a 2nd place! The third day, ASHLAR earns his first Novice Standard Preferred leg and 1st place! RHYA competes after him, earning her second Standard leg, and 2nd place!!! WOW!!!
May 2006 RHYA wins Winners Bitch/Best of Winners for a 3-point MAJOR in Freehold NJ!! Way to go, my little girl!!
April 2006 GRANITE malamutes show good form in the weight pulls at the Harrisburg, PA shows! ASHLAR earns a THIRD leg toward his Working Weight Pull Dog title!! RHYA wins third place in the Novice weight pull the first day.. She goes on the next day to earn her FIRST leg toward her Working Weight Pull Dog title, pulling 740 pounds!! Go, Rhya! And STONY, at 9 years old, pulls his way to a fourth place finish in his weight class the first day, then a third place finish the second day!! He was very proud of himself- and we are very proud of him!!

December 2005 RHYA's father, "FLY", finishes his championship in Mississippi, with a 4 and a 5 point major! This makes FLY the FIRST Australian-born/bred Alaskan Malamute to finish an American Championship! Way to go, FLY!!!
November 2005 We attend the AMCA National Specialty in Columbus, Indiana! ASHLAR competes as a working dog, STONY pulled in the weight pull, RHYA pulled in the Novice weight pull, and all three compete in AGILITY!! While STONY NQ'd in the Standard course, and both ASHLAR and RHYA NQ in Jumpers, I am very happy with them- STONY still does well- in his Novice Jumpers With Weaves (preferred) class, he Qualifies! Earning his first NJP leg, and second place (by only .09 of a second!) I am so very proud of him! Good boy, STONY!!!

May 2005 STONY and ASHLAR both earn their third Rally Novice legs in Hamburg NY! Stony does it in style, winning FIRST place! This completes the title of RN for both boys!

April 2005 STONY earns his first Rally Novice leg, with a score of 97 and third place in the class on Saturday April 2 in Pittsburgh, PA! ASHLAR also earns HIS first Rally Novice leg, in the same class, scoring a 95! RHYA wins a Reserve out of the 12-18 month class. The following day, STONY earns his second RN leg, with a score of 98 and second place! ASHLAR earns his second leg as well!!
In Harrisburg, PA - 2 specialty shows!- RHYA wins her very competitive 12-18 month class 3 out of the four days!! She also competes in her first weight pull one day- and earns third place in the Novice class, pulling 460#!!! ASHLAR is a consistent placer in the Open class- but even better- earns his FIRST and SECOND WWPD legs! STONY wins third place in his weight pull class both days!! What a great weekend for the Granite Mals!
January 2005 RHYA gets her first championship points in Hamburg Ny, winning Winners Bitch and Best Opposite all weekend- out of the 9-12 month Puppy class!!
December 2004 STONY earns FIRST place in Rally Obedience at the Cleveland Crown Classic on Friday, and follows it up with a SECOND place on Saturday!! Meanwhile, Rhya places fourth, among some very nice puppies, in her sweepstakes class at the Specialty on Sunday in Cleveland!!
November 2004 RHYA is entered one day in Syracuse NY, where she places Reserve out of the 6-9 puppy class again!
October 2004 RHYA places 2nd in the 6-9 Puppy Sweeps and 2nd in the 6-9 Puppy class at the NY/NJ area AMCA Specialty. She places 3rd in the Sweeps and 1st in the classes the following day at the Empire AMC affiliated Specialty. ASHLAR represents the Working Dog class in the breed ring both days. RHYA is awarded Reserve to a 3-point major win at the second Ramapo KC show, out of the 6-9 puppy class!!
